As we design your home with you we involve you in key decisions about materials, systems and methodologies. We explain to you the cost and performance implications of each decision. So from the structure, to the windows, the heating and cooling systems, shading and so on we cost them as we go and you make decisions on them as we go. At the end we have a fully costed specification which matches your desires and expectations.
Conventionally your architect would design a project with a specification. Then you would go out to tender and get this specification priced up. Constructors and engineers are in a competitive situation and they may be tempted to cut corners in order to capture the business.
Teamwork – the key to cost efficiency
We believe it is critical that all members of the team, the architects and professional team, the builders and the engineers are all aware of the energy efficient commitment from the earliest possible opportunity in the project. That way everyone knows what is expected, its more efficient and costs contained. This is especially true in Spain where there is no tradition of energy efficient construction and the construction team may not understand why things have to be as they are and they may not fully understand the importance of careful implementation and installation on site.
The result is a better job done i.e. one which performs as it is designed to and greater efficiency which means lower costs and greater speed.
