Our clients propose a glamping business on an environmentally sensitive site. After many months of coaxing all the different departments into a positive frame of mind we have obtained in principal approval to proceed.
The environmental protection department of the Junta de Andalucia, which has real teeth and isn’t afraid to use them, has agreed with us that the rare vultures which nest of the land will be fully protected.
Our clients are going to use geodesic domes for their glamping project. The town hall’s first reaction on seeing the domes was that the Martians have landed down by the river. Their current interpretation is that mushrooms are growing under the trees.
Visitors (glampers) will be able to enjoy the beautiful unspoilt nature of this site in a totally sustainable way. There are wild turtles in the river, wild boar running about, and rare flora and ancient olive trees on the site. Glampers will be out in nature yet comfortable in their geodesic pods.
The environmental protection authorities in Andalucia rigorously, and quite rightly, apply their considerable power to protect the environment. Their consent is a tribute to our team’s thorough research, coordination, and communication in producing a truly sustainable proposal.
