Our Comments

The chapel in Ronchamps is a milestone in 20th century architecture. It was a surprising response to a unique location, from which it dominates a beautiful landscape. We’re interested in it because it’s an overwhelming example of creative freedom and symbolic abstraction in the landscape, yet also includes a thorough and sensitive study of ventilation and natural light.
