Eco-Tourism at Malahá

Large eco tourism project near Granada Spain

Layout For Camping La Malahà

Eco Vida is involved in a large luxury eco-tourism project on “non-urbanizable” land, La Malahá, Granada, Spain.

With our help, our clients have managed to get permission to build a large eco tourism venture on “non-urbanizable” land near Granada. Central to approval was the ecological philosophy of the project, the respect for the landscape, and sustainable architecture. Our clients also realise it is key to their commercial success.

The project includes extensive luxury rural accommodation, outdoor sports and camping facilities, located about 15 minutes from Granada. There will be 50 individual chalets as a first phase, with a 100 more to follow, restaurants and other community facilities, including a huge natural swimming pool / lake and tennis courts.

The development has already received approval from the relevant departments of the Junta de Andalucia and the local authorities.

Boutique Hotels and Retreats

Design and build eco hotels SpainOur team of architects have worked on relatively few hotel projects. But you can see from the portfolio they have more than enough related experience for you to be confident of the outcome. Judging by the enquiries we have had about building small hotels and health spas these are projects that suit our elegant styling. The high levels of comfort and acoustic insulation and energy efficiency we offer are perfect for this type of project.

The rise of eco tourism may also be a factor in the interest we are getting.

Retirement Villages

We have on-going discussions with several land owners, and entrepreneurs, about a new generation of eco-retirement villages. We envisage communities that cater not just for the medical needs but also the social and, dare we say, spiritual needs of the inhabitants. These communities will exist in harmony aesthetically and physically with their environment, generating their own energy, recycling water and waste, and offering the highest levels of personal comfort and sound insulation.

The demand for these communities and facilities is coming from the baby boomers: people born in the 1950s who are maturing in a way quite different from previous generations, and who have the resources to pay for it.

They see this period of their lives as one of opportunity and growth. So our vision is for communities that go far beyond the provision of simple medical facilities.

Whilst our discussions are at an early stage, the arrival of this market is inevitable, and imminent. Spain offers the perfect setting, so we are very optimistic about the outcome of these discussions.
